Horse Wellness
Every horse owner is unique, and we aim tmeet your needs—be it for pleasure, performance, working horse, or broodmare. For our equine patients, we provide a wide range of veterinary services, including:

Through advanced technology, we offer performance floats that aid in both horse health and performance using full-mouth speculums and motorized dental tools. Our ultrasound technology aids in the evaluation of tendons and muscles. Ultrasound is alspreferred for viewing the reproductive tract of broodmares, in determining when tartificially inseminate mares, and for early pregnancy detection.

Chaparral Veterinary Center boasts an on-site EIA (coggins) Laboratory offering quick turnaround time on coggins certificates for horse owners on the go.

Semi-Annual Equine Wellness Program:

  • The physical exam is an important part of your horse’s health care visit. We perform a comprehensive evaluation of your horse’s body systems to identify any potential abnormalities or problems. Semi-annual examination allows us tcarefully monitor changes in your horse’s health and potentially diagnose a problem before it has a chance tbecome serious. The time and effort invested in a wellness program has rewards for both you and your horse.
