ABOUT US/HISTORY
Becoming the Best Takes Effort
In 1976, John D. Clader, DVM, entered practice in Pleasanton. In 1984, he founded Chaparral Veterinary Center in Jourdanton, Texas, where he continues to practice today.
Chaparral Veterinary Center received a merit award and was runner-up for Hospital of the Year in the Veterinary Economics Hospital Design Contest in 1989.
Dr. Clader was named the General Practitioner of the Year in the state of Texas in 1996. He is currently a member of Well Managed Practice™ Group I. This management group is the first veterinary practice management group in North America that represents small animal/equine mixed practices.
As you can see, our family of veterinary professionals takes pride in their work. Our goal is to raise the bar for veterinary medicine and be the very best for our clients. We can only do this through continuing education and investment in our practice, which requires an extra commitment in time, effort, and expense. We believe it’s worth it!
